According to his mother, Pat Casey has enjoyed music since before his birth. He took up the accordion at an early age because he couldn’t fit a piano in his Dad’s Chevy. He took up guitar in the early ’70s because he couldn’t fit the accordion on the back of a Yamaha. He’s convinced he was switched at birth and is really the child of Cajun Gypsies who were in Ohio looking for work in the late 1940s. Pat was 1/2 of the popular duo Top Shelf in the ’70s and more recently a member of American roots band Loosely Strung. He has never owned a leisure suit or a Barry Manilow album, and currently owns more Hohner Accordions than pairs of shoes.
